Surprise! The cement going to Gaza is not being used for its intended purpose…
After a desperate plea to the international community, PA President Mahmoud Abbas was able to secure pledges of over 5 billion dollars to rebuild Gaza after Operation Protective Edge. Now, Qatar donors are admitting that most of the cement allocated for reconstructing homes is actually being sold on the black market.
Tugging on the heartstrings of politicians and humanitarian groups, Palestinians were able to convince the world that the “poor Gazans” are in a dire situation and in need of new homes. But rebuilding terror tunnels takes precedence. Violence against Israel is actually more important to Gazans than having a place to live.
As the “Elder of Ziyon” blogger writes,
“The president of the Qatari National Committee for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, Ambassador Mohammed Al-Emadi admits that the mechanism for rebuilding Gaza by giving cement directly to Gazans has failed.”
Even Qatar is fed up.
Yet the Ambassador is apparently impressed with Israel’s efforts in the rebuilding of Gaza. Israelis seem to care more about the well-being of Gazans than Gazans themselves, who are more focused on terror against Israelis.
So Gaza plays the part of the victim, the world reacts and everyone attempts to help these “poor people,” who in turn, take the money and pour it into what will lead to future terror.
Qatar is now taking a more direct approach to rebuild in Gaza, almost like a parent with an irresponsible child.
Though Qatar may be looking out for the welfare of Gazans, (who by the way, brought on Operation Protective Edge themselves with their own relentless terrorism against Israel), but the Muslim nation is also considered to be the main financial backer of Hamas and largest supporter of Islamic terror in the world. The rich oil nation has been spreading its wealth all over the West as well in order to buy influence, which I wrote about in “Terror-Supporting Qatar Sinks Its Teeth into the West,” where I reveal some scary details about the nature of Qatar and what it’s been doing.
At the end of the day, it is clear that the “plight” of Gazans is really not that important. Jew hatred is the only thing that matters to a terror-loving people. As the famous Golda Meir quote goes,
“Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.”
In this case, they love their terror tunnels more than their houses.
