Oh the Hypocrisy. Egypt Expels Gazans While the World is Silent.

Oh the hypocrisy.

Where are the Leftists?

Egypt expels Gazans, destroys homes & the World is silent.

Forever quick to jump on Israel, but where are they now?

Where’s the hue and cry.

Israel’s NRG News reported. that after a terror attack on Friday 24th October 2014, which killed at least 30 Egyptian soldiers in the northern Sinai,  Cairo declared a state of emergency in the area,  closed down the Rafah crossing from Gaza and cancelled indirect cease-fire talks between Israel and Hamas. Egypt now says it will build a wall to block smuggling with the coastal enclave.

The Times of Israel reports:

After infiltrating into the Sinai Peninsula via smuggling tunnels from Gaza, the bombers used stolen Israeli explosives and remote controlled devices to carry out the deadly attack, the pro-regime paper reported. It was not clear from the report how the Gaza-based terrorist groups obtained the Israeli equipment. Hamas is known to have amassed considerable amounts of Israeli army weaponry and equipment, some of which was used in the summer’s Israel-Hamas conflict.

An earlier report in London-based Arabic newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat on Monday quoted an Egyptian Interior Ministry official saying that Palestinian militant groups were behind the attack. Maj. Gen. Sameeh Beshadi, former head of security in the Northern Sinai district, told the paper that there was “no doubt that Palestinian elements had taken part in the attacks” after slipping into Egypt from the Gaza Strip.

Egypt Cancels Israel-Hamas Talks, Shutters Rafah, Plans Anti-Smuggling Wall After Mass Car Bombing

Israel Radio reported that Egyptian air force helicopter forces said they had killed five militants in strikes.. According to Army radio  there in a sunset to sunrise curfew in the area affecting over 100,000 residents, .

Hamas leaders warned that the strip was on the verge of an “explosion” if the passage with Egypt remained closed. Israel, meanwhile, has continued allowing humanitarian aid and construction material to enter the enclave.

Not a peep from the Israel haters/Lefists/Paletinian supporters when the Egyptian al-Masri al-Youm daily said the government of al-Sisi had ordered the construction of a 13km security wall, reaching from the Rafah area to the Mediterranean coast, quoting Maj.-Gen. Sameh Seif Yazal, who it said was a strategic and military expert.

The Boston Globe reports:

EL-ARISH, Egypt — Egyptian authorities on Tuesday ordered residents living along the country’s eastern border with the Gaza Strip to evacuate so the authorities can demolish their homes and set up a buffer zone to stop weapons and militant trafficking between Egypt and the Palestinian territory, officials said.

The measure comes four days after militants attacked an army post, killing at least 31 soldiers in the restive area in the northeastern corner of the Sinai Peninsula. After the attack, Egypt declared a state of emergency and dawn-to-dusk curfew there. Authorities also indefinitely closed the Gaza crossing, the only non-Israeli passage for the crowded strip with the world.

The buffer zone, which will include water-filled trenches to thwart tunnel diggers, will be 500 meters wide and extended along the 9-mile border.

Army officers spoke to the affected residents in person and initially gave them a 48-hour ultimatum to leave, but put that on hold after they protested, officials said. Residents groups are now negotiating with local officials to see if they can extend the deadline.

The Egyptian army has waged a broad offensive in northern Sinai against Islamic militants who have turned several areas into strongholds over the past three years, destroying many of the sprawling smuggling tunnels that connected the area with Gaza.

Egyptian media have accused Gaza’s Hamas rulers of meddling in Egypt’s affairs, with some suggesting that the Islamic militant group is supporting fighters inside Egypt since the military overthrew Egypt’s elected president, the Islamist Mohammed Morsi, last year.

Arab residents of Gaza were rounded up by armed soldiers and forced to flee their homes, which were promptly exploded in impressive plumes of dust and sand – but the soldiers were Egyptian, and there has been no international criticism of the buffer zone Egypt is establishing by force on the Gaza side of the Sinai border.

In the buffer zone plan, Egypt is seizing and evacuating all homes and farmland up to 500 meters (over 1,640 feet) into Gaza, all along the 13 kilometer (over eight mile) border. Additionally, a channel with a depth and width of 20 meters (over 65 feet) will be dug along the Gaza border.

The expulsion is in fact being sped up, after the Egyptian army said Saturday night it discovered hundreds more smuggling tunnels into Sinai from satellite imagery, reports the Arabic-language Sky News as cited by Yedioth Aharonoth and Israel National News

Sissi said that security in the Sinai can only be achieved through the establishment of a buffer zone between the Gaza Strip and Sinai.  He said Egypt would target terror bases in northern Sinai using Apache attack helicopters.

The video shows the expulsion in full steam, as Egyptian tanks and helicopters can be seen over a Gazan town. Armed soldiers go house-by-house and residents flee with all of their belongings loaded into cars, before cranes knock down their homes and explosions rend the air.

Egypt cancelled the Hamas-Israel talks following Sinai attack. Al-Sisi indefinitely closed the Rafah crossing.

Oh the hypocrisy!

Egypt blocks off Gaza – and Abbas praises it!

After Al-Sisi’s speech, Abbas said “We stand by Egypt’s leadership, government and people, and we support all measures to be taken by the Egyptian leadership in order to maintain security and stability in Egypt in the face of terrorism in the Sinai and all the Egyptian territories, because of the service of the Palestinian cause and the Arab national security.” Abbas praised the Egyptian position as being “courageous in the face of terrorism,” saying he has great confidence that Egypt will overcome the enemy.Elder of ZiyonHow’s that for hypocrisy?AND then for even more hypocrisy, from the USA, which has been so quick condemning Israel on protecting herself comes….

“Egypt has the right to use a buffer zone along its borders with Gaza to boost security.”

“Certainly we believe that Egypt has the right to take steps to maintain their own security. And we understand the threat that they are facing from the Sinai,”

State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.

“We also continue to encourage them to take into account those that would be internally displaced by this,” she added.

Despite cutting off some aid to Cairo last year amid concerns about human rights abuses , it has now released Apache helicopters specifically to be used to help secure the Sinai.

“They’re working through the plan and we’re continuing to support their efforts to take steps to defend their own borders,”

Psaki told reporters.

Shirlee, this is yet another example of leftist anti-Jewish apartheid.
There is “Palestinian” Arab apartheid, which is expressed by, among other means, the “Palestinian” Arab refusal to countenance any Jew living within their projected “state.
There is leftist, socialist anti-Jewish apartheid, which decrees that what is permitted to other nations is not permitted to the Jewish one.
Leftist apartheid also decrees that censorship is bad except when it is applied to Jews.
