Arab MK shown to be a liar during PM Harper’s speech in the Knesset

Regavim is an organization whose raison d’etre is to ensure responsible, legal & accountable use of Israel’s national lands and the return of the rule of law to all areas and aspects of the land and its preservation.  The land issue is so important, complex and widespread that we believe that only the state holds the key to a realistic implementation of a system that ensures proper management of this most precious resource. Based on this assumption, Regavim’s activities are directed at influencing all the State of Israel’s government systems in order to bring them, and effectively the whole country, to act based on the fundamental principles of Zionism and protect Israel’s lands and national properties.

“MK Tibi yesterday in the Knesset in front of PM Harper claiming his colleague MK Taleb lives in a village with no water and no electricity, unlike in Syria!! Well today Regavim went down to his “village” the town of Arara and check out what we found……”

From Israel National News:

During Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s visit to the Knesset, Tibi pointed at fellow Arab MK Taleb a-Sana and shouted in English

“there is no water and no electricity in his village. In Syria…maybe.”

Regavim uploaded video images of Arara Banegev, the Bedouin village in southern Israel where Taleb lives. The video clearly exposes Tibi’s blatant lie:

Images of Taleb’s house appear in the footage, clearly showing an air-conditioning unit, satellite TV dish, electric lines and an electric meter,

“For MK Tibi’s information there’s water and electricity, just come visit,” reads text in the video.

In response to Tibi’s outburst, Netanyahu brought Tibi’s recorded position into play, remarking

“I haven’t found any Arabs who wish to leave the State. Quite the opposite; Arabs gave been very upset at a proposal by Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman that would redraw Israel’s boundaries and include many Israeli Arabs in a Palestinian state.”

Tibi has in the past announced he will fight the “strange” idea of Israel being a Jewish state, showing support for the Palestinian Authority’s refusal to recognize Israel as such.
